Meadows Edge

1:625 Architectural model for Belper Civic Forum to help with public consultation for BelperMeadows Edge development site and town centre masterplan.

The requirements included for it to be transportable so it had to be made in four sections. Certain areas of the design had to be removable in areas of potential changes or development including most of the sports areas river plain, Thorntons factory site and the old Somerfields car park.

A list of notable buildings was required to be made in 'detail' such as Belper Mill and the Library to give character and to make key landmarks easily recognisable.

The model was funded by Belper Rotary Club and the Big Lottery fund.

More images are available on the facebook page including 'making of' pictures.
